To graduate in a Canadian high school, the students require to earn the course credits, and finish the volunteer hours. It requires the students to complete 40 hours of volunteering in Ontario to get the high school diploma. For many international students, they usually do not know how to find a volunteer job. Thus, we will help the students in research so that they can help those in need and learn more about the local culture.

Although the high school diploma can be obtained by completing the volunteer hours is specified by the Ministry of Education, this may not be enough for the application for universities and future employment. Although universities recruit the students with academic achievement, each school also places great importance to the volunteer activities and extracurricular activities of the students. Imagine a student who only completed 40 hours of volunteer work with a student who completed 100 hours of volunteer work. The second student will have an advantage. Especially for the high competitive elite schools like U of T, UBC, and Queen’s; they value the students‘ off-campus experience. The more you participate in volunteering, the more the school believes that you have a positive attitude and a helpful personality. They believe you are not just a person who only cares about your own lives.
